christopher and i work for cornerstone festival and each year fest office workers journey out 4 hours away from chicago to marietta il to the festival grounds. the grounds are essentially acres and acres and acres of woods and lake. we are given a trailer to stay in, which sounded terrifying to me but our trailer is actually really cute. photos to come.
the festival starts in about a week and half and the grounds will be over run with campers, youth groups, families, zealous christian music lovers, and tons of jpusa’s working the festival.
highlights are beautiful peaceful scenery, our own working toilet and shower, and the opportunity to see friends that we seldom see. bum outs are no cell service, limited internet access, loud noisy people during the festival, no proper car to take into civilization [i believe the nearest town to us has a wal*mart and an arbys], and insect critters.
this little body of letters was just to put the photos that will follow for the next 3 weeks into context.
